Directors, curators and arts industry professionals from across Victoria are invited to come together to participate in a two-day Curatorial Intensive featuring an international keynote presentation, forums, discussions, tours and studio visits.   The Curatorial Intensive will be held Thursday 29 & Friday 30 October 2015 at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Federation Square.


International Keynote Address:  Aya Mousawi & Simon Sakhai, founders of The Moving Museum, a nomadic program of contemporary art exhibitions that unfold in significant locations across the world. Adopting a collaborative curatorial model composed of experts from various disciplines, media and backgrounds, The Moving Museumcommissions artists to create new work which expands their practice at critical points in their careers.


Speakers include: Kate Barber (MUMA), Charlotte Christie (Koorie Heritage Trust), Emily Cormack (Independent Curator), Jonathan Jones (Visual Artist), Donna McColm (NGV), Bryony Nainby (Benalla Art Gallery), Debbie Pryor (Craft) and Sarah Tutton (ACMI).

The Curatorial Intensiveis presented by the PGAV in partnership with National Exhibitions Touring Support (NETS) Victoria. The Moving Museum’s visit has been supported by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
