EVENT: Volunteer Programs: The Ins and Outs
DATE:
19 June 2012

TIME: 10am – 12pm
VENUE: The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Theatre

Presented in partnership with NETS Victoria, this seminar provided the ins and outs of establishing and managing a successful volunteer program at a public gallery. The first part of the seminar guided participants through the principles of volunteer programs – including who volunteers and why – and provided an overview of best practice in managing volunteer programs. This was followed by examples from the public gallery sector, providing insights to assist participants with running a program at their gallery.

The seminar was aimed at those wanting to establish a program and those wanting to review their existing programs.

Presenters:

Catherine Black, Volunteer West

Stephanie DiBattista, Visitor Services & Volunteer Program Manager, Heide Museum of Modern Art
