This exhibition surveys some of the standout pieces from the Manningham Art Collection, as well as a selection of its most recent acquisitions.

Reflecting upon the history of the region, the exhibition will include a number of paintings that show the changing landscape of Doncaster and Templestowe, including a newly acquired painting by Robert Campbell (1902 – 1972), At East Doncaster (1927).

It will highlight a series of ceramic works by Potters Cottage founder Reg Preston, which were recently donated to the collection. On show as well will be a pair of exquisite tapestries by Cresside Collette that have recently returned from a two-year tour through Victoria and NSW with the Manningham Art Gallery exhibition Woven Worlds.

And in anticipation of the 2017 Manningham Victorian Ceramic Art Award, the exhibition will also look back on the many great pieces acquired through the award since its inception in 2009.
