The Guirguis New Art Prize 2017 (GNAP17) is a $20,000 national, acquisitive, biennial, contemporary Art Prize, which showcases a selection of Australia’s most exciting contemporary artists. The Prize has been initiated and supported by local Ballarat surgeon Mark Guirguis, and administered by Federation University Australia’s Arts Academy. It is presented in association with the Art Gallery of Ballarat, with the generous support of the Art Gallery of Ballarat Foundation.

 

The judge for GNAP17 is Simon Maidment, Senior Curator, Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria.
