Image: Morning #2, 2017, Mary-Rose Riley, graphite pencil and watercolour on paper, 28 x 38cm.

The Empathy Project will see a small group of young students produce artworks alongside local artist Mary-Rose Riley. They will present a body of work that focuses on empathy, understanding emotions and building healthy relationships within personal networks.

This exhibition will form part of Wodonga Council’s involvement in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. This global campaign seeks to raise awareness about violence against women and its impact on women’s physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing.

The Empathy Project will consider these issues with a focus on prevention as well as building and maintaining long-term healthy relationships.
