Bundoora Homestead Art Centre
Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is the public art gallery for the City of Darebin and is committed to presenting, challenging and inspiring contemporary visual arts exhibitions and public programs. The Homestead is registered by Heritage Victoria and certified by the National Trust.
Darebin Council acknowledges the importance of the City’s cultural heritage and maintains a substantial collection of contemporary artworks and historical items that reflect the artistic, social and political aspirations of the local community.
The role of the City of Darebin Art and History Collection is to inspire, inform, engage and connect the community in an appreciation of the visual arts and to support local artists in their endeavours to contribute to a vibrant municipal culture.
Artists represented in the collection include: John Borrack, Eolo Paul Bottaro, Turbo Brown, Georgina Cue, Katherine Hattam, Siri Hayes, Hilary Jackman, Warren Lane, and Polixeni Papapetrou.
Bundoora Homestead’s licensed café is located in the elegant drawing room overlooking heritage gardens – the perfect location for dining in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
